Yes, We’re Still Here
Whew – busy month. Headed down to California a few weeks ago for Brock’s birthday. Redwoods, Palm Springs, San Diego. We came back up through Sonora, Angels Camp & Calaveras County ~ absolutely gorgeous places neither of us had been before.
It was nice to get away just the two of us on a Road Trip. We do those so well together!
Meanwhile, back at home, the hot tub has been a much bigger project than we originally anticipated, but well worth it. We’re getting down to the final parts of the project now.

Here’s the hot tub lid being lifted with a pneumatic ram, because the princess shouldn’t have to do any more than flip a switch when she wants to use her upper deck hot tub. Still a work in progress – need to dial in the air pressure so the speed is smooth and secure the lid to the lifting arms so it doesn’t fall back onto the stacks. Then some paint on everything, tidy the place up and it should be great!
If you’ll excuse me, I need to go check the temperature again. It seems perfect, but you just never know!
