KJ Fish Cam

Hi, yes, I’m still here. Magic Brock pointed out today that I’ve missed both October and November for any posts whatsoever. Guess settling into married bliss just takes the focus off blogging? In an attempt to correct that, here are a few shots from our underwater camera. It’s on a 60′ cable and when we’re out crabbing, hanging out, or whatever, we just hang it near the bottom to see what’s below us:

Seastars are abundant, of course. We usually drag at least one up on the crab pots when we pull them. Heavy suckers!
Dungeness that decided to fight with the camera. Are they territorial or did we just run into him and irritate him? Who knows?
Cutest little flounder decided to follow the camera for a while. Not sure what he was thinking, but he was definitely interested in it.
All right, off to the Pacific Northwest Ballet’s Nutcracker Performance!

@Rhi, it's just a quick and dirty cam and monitor we picked up at Harbor Freight for $100. Nothing fancy, but the image is surprisingly good. And we've been quite surprised at all the fish under our boat in Lake Union too – perch, bass and the occasional salmon.

Love the pictures. I would like to know more about the camera and how it works. I have always wondered whats in our river. Would love to have an underwater cam going to see whats swimming by.
