Crazy Kids

This was our evening out on the water last night ~ lovely skyline, great sunset, just a marvelous time really. It was a bit of a whim; when I got home from work, I simply suggested “Hey, let’s take the boat out.” My childrens’ only concern? “Will we have internet access?”

One can only hope that they’ll look back with fond memories, whether or not they know it now! I suppose that’s true of all children, isn’t it?

Natalie was a true blue helper again, assisting me in cleaning off the roof above the aft deck. It gets all these weird black spots on it ~ I don’t think it’s mildew, but I have no clue what it actually might be. It needs to be wiped down regularly and is rather tedious, so I was glad of her help.

And of course, Dread Pirate. This time I sunk Stewbie, but it wasn’t my fault. He attacked me in a skirmish first ~ I just happened to win…

Yup I do think it is mildew Jamie but relatively easy to wipe off for the most part I’ve found.

Reference Kids! mine are 40 and 36 respectively, and when small we sailed around the south coast from the Scilly Isles to Holland on both side of the channel, our base was in Brixham Devon and The Dart, amongst other places. I wasn`t a particularily good father but I too would like think that they remembered it fondly (I feared that they didn`t as I was one of those shouty Dads, just to keep the kids safe you understand :o))). Last weekend my daughter and her newish husband, New grand daughter and dog arried and stayed on the boat for the weekend, (well almost) and they all really enjoyed it so I expect to see more of them this year. I guess that I wasn`t such a bad Dad as I first thought? KJ really does look good! we ( us boating Brits ) are talking about a possible £8 per gallon for diesel by the end of the year? Ouch!!!and I am expecting to change my boat soon for a bigger engined one :o(( I guess I will have to take my time instead of going everywhere at “full throttle”, I have delayed getting a larger sail boat for now, untill I have lost a lot more money on the new boat :o((
